CEO Departures
Slaw will retire from vascular surgery association
Kenneth Slaw, executive director of the $15 million-revenue, Rosemont, Illinois-based Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), will retire. SVS has retained Tuft & Associates to lead a national search for his successor. Slaw has led SVS for more than a decade.
“Under Dr. Slaw's leadership, SVS has significantly expanded its reach, strengthened its programs and services and elevated the visibility of vascular surgery,” said SVS Board President Linda Harris, M.D.
SVS expects to announce its next executive director ahead of the 2027 Vascular Annual Meeting, planned for June 2–5 in San Diego.
Le Manh departs PMI suddenly
The $390 million-revenue Project Management Institute (PMI) announced Sept. 21 that CEO Pierre Le Manh would step down effective Sept. 30. The association appointed Chief Growth Officer Johannes Heinlein interim president and CEO.
Le Manh joined Newtown Square, Pa.-based PMI in September 2022. During his tenure, he led the development and execution of PMI’s current strategy, strengthened its leadership team, expanded its capabilities through acquisitions and partnerships, and positioned PMI for a profession being rapidly transformed by artificial intelligence and a greater focus on project success, the association said in a statement.
“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Pierre Le Manh for his leadership and his commitment to PMI,” Board Chair Ike Nwankwo said in a statement. “PMI has a clear strategy, a strong leadership team and significant momentum. Pierre leaves the organization well positioned for the future. Pierre will be missed.”
The PMI board will conduct a search for Le Manh’s successor, with details to come in the months ahead, the group said.
