Chain drug group taps CEO from industry

The $364 million-revenue National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) has picked industry veteran Mike Wysong as its next chief executive, effective Dec. 1. He succeeds Steve Anderson, who is retiring after 20 years as CEO.

Wysong has spent more than three decades in healthcare and retail pharmacy and has been CEO of CARE Pharmacies — a member-owned network now ranked among the 20 largest pharmacy chains in the United States — since 2010, NACDS said in a statement.

Wysong was chair of the NACDS board from April 2023 to April 2024 and is a current board and executive committee member.

“In electing Mike Wysong, the Board chose a leader who understands this industry and this moment from every angle — retailer and supplier, regional and national, public policy and practice,” David Warner, NACDS chair and CEO of KPH Healthcare Services, said in a statement. “He knows this membership deeply, and he has built strong bridges throughout pharmacy and across every segment of the supply chain and far beyond. …

“Over two decades, Steve Anderson created a sustainable infrastructure of progress at NACDS — advocacy strength, trusted partnerships, financial stability, and a world-class team,” Warner said.

Wysong has a bachelor’s degree from the Virginia Military Institute and has received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Mount St. Mary’s University.

WTCA appoints first-ever female CEO

The $8 million-revenue, New York, N.Y.-based World Trade Centers Association has appointed Annette Gregg CEO, effective Oct. 5. With more than 30 years of association leadership experience, Gregg is the first woman to lead the 57-year-old international trade organization.

Gregg most recently served as CEO of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence, or SITE, an international association with approximately 3,700 members and 27 chapters. During her tenure SITE increased revenue by 160% over three years through diversified revenue streams while growing membership by more than 70%, according to WTCA.

“Annette brings the combination of strategic vision, financial acumen, and global stakeholder engagement that WTCA needs as we look toward the future,” said John E. Drew, chair of the WTCA board of directors.

Wright steps into interim CEO role at travel society

Rebecca Wright has been selected as interim CEO of the $5 million-revenue, Chicago, Illinois-based Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) effective this month. She is stepping into the role following the departure of CEO Annette Gregg, who left SITE to become CEO of the World Trade Centers Association.

“I worked with Rebecca during her first term as interim CEO, when I was president of SITE Türkiye. Through the pandemic, she kept our chapters connected to SITE, and I saw first-hand what that meant for them. She brings that same continuity now,” said Hasan Dinç, managing director at ODS Turkey and president of SITE's international board.
