Skiados to lead insurance agents
The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) announced Michael Skiados has been appointed CEO of the $1.4M-revenue group, effective Oct. 15. He succeeds Mike Becker, who led the organization for 11 years before joining the Receivables Management Association International as executive director earlier this year.
“Mike’s ability to transform the member experience, combined with his operational expertise, will create significant opportunities for PIA affiliates and agency members,” said Richard Savino, PIA national president. “We are thrilled to welcome him to PIA — his proven track record in innovation and growth will propel us to new levels of excellence.”
Skiados has spent nearly five years at the American Institute of Architects, where he was most recently managing director of membership strategy and engagement. Previously, he was director of membership for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and chief operating officer of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics.
He has a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from James Madison University and a master’s degree in business administration and management from Fitchburg State University.
Vetted Solutions assisted in the search.
Reinke named next leader of intermodal group
The $13M-revenue Intermodal Association of North America announced Anne Reinke will succeed retiring President and CEO Joni Casey at the end of the year. Casey announced her plans to retire earlier this year after helming the organization for 27 years.
Reinke was most recently president and CEO of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (a position Casey also held earlier in her career), where she led for four years. Prior to joining TIA, Reinke was a deputy assistant secretary with the U.S. Department of Transportation and spent 16 years at transportation company CSX Corporation.
She has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Rice University and a law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
