Shivak to lead credit management group

Steve Shivak has been named president of the $3M-revenue National Association of Credit Management. He succeeds Robin Schauseil, who is retiring after leading the organization since 2008.

“Steve’s past experience as an association executive and his leadership style make him the clear choice to become the next leader of our organization,” board chair Jason Mott said.

Shivak most recently served as chief membership officer at Association Growth Consultants and earlier was CEO of the International Society of Explosives Engineers. He also held leadership roles at the Industrial Designers Society of America and the National Asphalt Pavement Association.

He holds a master’s degree in marketing from Robert Morris University and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Illinois State University.

Consumer Technology Association — Tiffany Moore has joined autonomous driving technology company Waymo as head of federal policy and government affairs. She previously served as senior vice president of political and industry affairs at $154M-revenue CTA, where she spent more than a decade leading the group’s policy agenda and advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with the White House.

Aerospace Industries Association — Jess Moore has joined $29M-revenue AIA as vice president of legislative affairs. She most recently served as senior director of global government relations at GE Aerospace. Previously, she held government affairs roles at industrial conglomerate Textron and the U.S. Department of State and earlier served as chief of staff and legislative director to Rep. Thomas Rooney (R-Fla.).

American Gas Association — Jim Steffes has joined $42M-revenue AGA as chief operating officer. He most recently served as senior vice president of regulatory and rates, government affairs and advocacy, and energy acquisition at Washington Gas Light. Previously, Steffes was executive vice president of public affairs at Direct Energy, president of Green Mountain Energy and president of NRG Energy’s Northeast retail business.

Consumer Brands Association — Colleen Cruz has joined $35M-revenue CBA as director of regulatory and technical affairs. She most recently served as a nutritionist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Previously, Cruz was a technical information specialist focused on nutrition policy and dietary guidance resources at USDA.

Edison Electric Institute — Dani Marx has joined $102M-revenue EEI as senior director of media relations. She most recently served as a vice president on the communications team at marketing agency Precision Strategies, where she led messaging development and media relations for nonprofit, political and corporate clients. She previously held public affairs roles at Edelman.

Healthcare Leadership Council — Angela Banks has joined $5.3M-revenue HLC as head of policy and advocacy. She most recently served as vice president of policy at the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, where she led federal and state policy strategy and industry outreach to policymakers. Previously, Banks was vice president of external affairs at UnitedHealth Group.

International Dairy Foods Association — Adam Tarr has joined $12M-revenue IDFA as vice president of legislative affairs. He most recently served as a principal at business advisory firm Invariant. Previously, Tarr was a senior professional staff member on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and earlier held multiple roles at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including senior advisor to the secretary of agriculture and chief of staff in the Office of Food Safety.

International Fresh Produce Association — Eric Stevens has joined $50M-revenue IFPA as vice president of food safety and regulatory affairs. He most recently served as a vertical segment manager at biotechnology company Hygiena. Previously, Stevens spent more than a decade at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, including as international policy manager.

National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association — Mira L. Lezell has joined $13M-revenue NSSGA as senior vice president of government and regulatory affairs. She most recently served as a policy adviser for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and previously was staff director and senior professional staff member for the committee’s Subcommittee on Highways and Transit. Earlier, Lezell held congressional affairs roles at the U.S. Department of Transportation and spent more than a decade in congressional offices.

Plastics Industry Association — Reed Westcott has joined $59M-revenue PIA as director of federal government affairs. He most recently served as executive director of the Small Business Exporters Association and previously was vice president of government affairs and federal policy at the National Small Business Association. Earlier in his career, Westcott held government affairs roles at Airlines for America.

Semiconductor Industry Association — James Redstone has joined $16M-revenue SIA as director of government affairs. He most recently served as a staff member on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. Previously, he was director of public policy at SHRM and served as special assistant to the president for domestic policy during the Trump administration.
