The $1.4 million revenue Customer Experience Professionals Association has named Greg Melia CEO—a newly established full-time position at the more than 4,000 member group.

Melia most recently was vice president of program development for industry news service ITN Productions for two years. Prior to that, Melia was chief membership and volunteer relations officer at ASAE, where he worked for 12 years.

His association experience includes five years at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he was director of the Institute for Organization Management, the Chamber's professional development program.

"The board is excited to have a customer-centric association management professional join the CXPA during a period of rapid growth and international expansion," CXPA Chair Bob Azman said in a statement.

"I look forward to working with the entire CXPA to ensure that we champion recognition of the field and continue CXPA's growth as the trusted source for the customer experience profession," Melia said in the statement.

CXPA will hold its CXPA Insight Exchange event May 15-16 in Salt Lake City.
