Logan named leader of intelligence group

Tamesha L. Logan has been appointed executive director of $5M-revenue American Mensa, the high-IQ society with nearly 50,000 members in the U.S. She succeeds Trevor Mitchell, who recently stepped down after leading the organization since 2017.

Logan previously served as interim executive director at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, where she spent more than a decade in leadership roles including associate executive director and director of marketing and public relations. She also served as associate vice president of marketing at YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, where she spent over seven years.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communication from Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Southern University.

Eversole joins financial group

Amanda Eversole has been named president and CEO of the $16M-revenue Financial Services Forum, succeeding Kevin Fromer, who recently stepped down after eight years at the helm.

“Amanda is a strategic leader with a strong track record of delivering results amid times of change,” said Jane Fraser, chair of the Forum’s board. “Her experience and skills will help take the Forum to a new level — ensuring the organization is not only leading in financial policy debates, but also elevating our members’ unique and important role in America’s economy.”

Eversole joins the Forum from the American Petroleum Institute, where she served as executive vice president and chief advocacy officer, overseeing communications, government relations and public affairs. Earlier in her tenure, she was API’s chief operating officer, guiding development of the organization’s strategic plan and leading key operational improvements.

She previously held roles as managing director and head of public affairs at JPMorgan Chase and spent more than a decade at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she served as president of the Chamber Technology Engagement Center and senior vice president of the Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness.

Eversole has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from William & Mary and a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

McBrayer named leader of fuel retailers group

Max McBrayer has been appointed CEO of $5.4M-revenue NATSO, the association representing the nation’s truck stops, travel centers and off-highway fuel retailers. He succeeds Darren Schulte, who served as interim CEO since January and will return to his prior role as vice president of membership.

McBrayer brings more than 40 years of experience in fuel retail and transportation energy. He previously served as CEO of petroleum company RaceTrac and held leadership roles at Metroplex Energy and The Ethanol Corporation.

“Max brings a deep understanding of the fuel retail and transportation energy industries and their customers to this leadership position,” said Joe Zietlow, NATSO board chair. “The board has full confidence that Max will build on his distinguished career to serve NATSO’s members.”

Staff Departures

American Soybean Association — Kyle Kunkler has left his role as senior director of government affairs at $37M-revenue ASA to join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he now serves in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. He joined ASA in 2020 and was promoted to senior director earlier this year. He previously held policy roles at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, the U.S. House of Representatives, and NAIFA.

Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America — Cody Tucker has left his role as vice president of federal affairs at $1.4M-revenue WSWA to join government relations firm Milne, Weiner & Shofe Global Strategies as senior vice president. He will continue to represent WSWA in his new role.

Association for Accessible Medicines — Mark Ratner has joined $22M-revenue AAM as senior vice president of government affairs. He has over 20 years of experience on Capitol Hill, most recently serving as chief of staff to Rep. Bryan Steil (R-Wis.). He previously held senior roles with the Senate Health Committee and Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), including legislative director and deputy chief of staff. He also worked for the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Rep. Joe Schwarz (R-Mich.).

Council for Advancement and Support of Education — Robb Lee has joined $32M-revenue CASE as vice president of marketing and business development. He most recently served as senior vice president of integrated strategy at the marketing agency Yes&. He previously spent nearly 19 years at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, where he held C-suite roles including chief marketing officer and chief strategy officer.

Flex Association — Liam Goodwin has joined Flex as director of policy. He previously served as director of client services at The Hawthorn Group, where he also held earlier roles in research. He also worked at PR agency Golin as manager of research.
