The International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA) emerged May 4 after a series of meetings in Hanau, Germany. Representing 43 companies from North America, Europe and Asia, IPVEA’s headquarters is in Hanau, but managing director, Bryan Ekus, works in an Orlando office. “Exhibitors at events were frustrated because so many trade shows fall under the solar umbrella…[but] it’s very difficult to find a true business-to-business show for the equipment manufacturers” said Ekus, also managing director of Media-Tech Association, based in Orlando.
