CEO of National Association of Broadcasters gets another contract extension The National Association of Broadcasters announced Sept. 12 that the group has extended the contract of CEO Gordon Smith to March 31, 2023. Smith joined NAB in November 2009. NAB previously extended Smith's contract in 2012 and 2014. The CEO is a former two-term Republican U.S. senator from Oregon who previously led the family-owned Smith Frozen Foods. NAB did not disclose terms of Smith's contract, but he earned $1,167,259 in 2015, according to the association's most recent tax filings.
