John Chubb, president of the National Association of Independent Schools, died at his home in Avalon, N.J., Nov. 12. He was 61. Chubb's family did not publicly release a cause of death, but one of the CEO's former colleagues—Terry Moe, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution—noted in a Nov. 20 column that Chubb had struggled with cancer.
