Bergren (left) and Halvorson Two U.S. Senate staffers—one Democrat and one Republican—started a golf group in 1999 as a way to connect women, introduce more to the game and have fun. Today the Women's Congressional Golf Association attracts about 150 dues-paying members each year, including many association executives. Dana Halvorson learned about WCGA from a colleague at the American Health Care Association, where Halvorson is senior director of not-for-profit and constituent services.
