Schimmel Departures Carter leaving nursing groups Diane Carter will retire as president and CEO of the American Association of Directors of Nursing Services and American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination next spring. Carter has headed AANAC since 1999 and AADNS since its inception in 2016. Both groups are based in Denver. The groups did not announce plans for choosing Carter's successor.
