Thomas Connelly will succeed Madeleine Jacobs early next year at the American Chemical Society Connelly DuPont's top science and innovation executive, Thomas Connelly, will become CEO of the American Chemical Society on Feb. 17. Connelly is retiring from DuPont at the end of this year after 36 years with the global giant. He has been DuPont's chief science and technology officer since 2000, and became executive vice president and chief innovation officer in 2006.
