Hockey players oust Kelly Paul Kelly, executive director of the National Hockey League Players’ Association, was voted “overwhelmingly” out of the top slot on Aug. 31 by the group’s executive board during the annual meeting in Chicago. “Following the executive board’s review of the overall operation of the NHLPA, it was decided that Paul Kelly should no longer continue to serve as executive director,” said an NHLPA media release.
