Association leaders based in Washington, D.C. garner better salaries and raises than their colleagues nationwide, according to the 2007 National Compensation Study released this week from the American Research Company. Pay raises for D.C.-based executives were 5.8 percent, significantly higher than CEOs in New York and Chicago, where pay rose 3.6 percent and 3.9 percent, respectively.
