Longtime leader Wayman still a spokesman for electronics industry Wayman The Consumer Electronics Association recently recognized the 50th anniversary of Jack Wayman's groundbreaking tenure with the group. Wayman—still sharp and colorful at 91 and a spokesman for the sector—is credited with helping build consumer electronics into a $203 billion industry from its origins in radios, phonographs and later, TVs.
