Capitalizing on the popularity of memoirs, one Berkeley, Calif. writer is starting a new professional literary society to promote structure in writing them. The National Association of Memoir Writers, launched May 1, is the brainchild of Linda Joy Myers. Independent booksellers report that memoirs are one of the strongest sellers in the biography category.
