Departures Fedrizzi leaving U.S. Green Building Council Rick Fedrizzi will step down as CEO of the $74M-revenue U.S. Green Building Council at the end of 2016, the group has announced. Fedrizzi helped found USGBC 22 years ago. He was the organization's volunteer founding chair for six years before becoming CEO in 2003. In 2009, he also became CEO of the Green Building Certification Institute, a third-party organization that provides credentialing and certification services for LEED, the green building rating system established by USGBC.
