Jacques Herz Froetscher Porter Shultz Board chair to lead Gemological InstituteThe $180M-revenue Gemological Institute of America has named Susan Jacques as CEO, effective Jan. 1. She replaces Donna Baker, who left the Carlsbad, Calif.-based organization in June. Jacques has been interim CEO since Baker's departure and is chair of the GIA board. She currently is president and CEO of Borsheims Fine Jewelry and Gifts in Omaha, Neb., where she has worked since 1982. Jacques received her graduate gemologist diploma from GIA in 1980.
