Departures Knell Ryan Schmid Hoplin Hoplin Eversole NPR chief to head National Geographic Gary Knell is stepping down as CEO of $184M-revenue National Public Radio to become chief executive of the $455M-revenue National Geographic Society, both organizations announced Aug. 19.
