Grace Hinchman, CEO of the American Academy of Actuaries, resigned from the organization in early April. Hinchman tendered her resignation abruptly during a regional conference the Academy was holding March 29-April 1 in Washington D.C. Mary Downs, general counsel of the Academy since 2006, will serve as interim executive director while the association launches a search for a new leader, according to a news release.
