The American Association of University Professors may see changes in organizational structure and leadership in the coming months. AAUP’s General Secretary Roger W. Bowen, the chief staff officer, resigned from the organization effective June 30, according to Martin Snyder, director of external relations of AAUP. Ernst Benjamin, executive director of AAUP, will serve as interim General Secretary beginning July 1, and AAUP plans to form a search committee in the fall to find Bowen’s replacement.
