Tom Donohue is the dean of the trade association community in the nation’s capital. He has been a friend and mentor to many, and a tough adversary to some—particularly politicians and activists who didn’t share his vision of what was best for America and its business community.
With news that he will pass the baton to Suzanne Clark March 11 after nearly 24 transformative years leading the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, association leaders shared their reflections.
