While some associations are clinging to hope that their spring fly-ins can be held in person, they have found that virtual engagement with lawmakers has advantages, including the ability to get more members involved.

The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association has been holding virtual sessions with freshman members of Congress since November’s elections, emphasizing local connections, said CEO Jim Matheson, a former congressman.
