Sam Wade knows water. He started his career operating the small community water system in Belgrade, Minn. He joined the National Rural Water Association in 1985, and became CEO of the Duncan, Okla.-based organization last year. But don’t ask him to pick the best tasting water in America.
“I stay as far away from that as I possibly can.”
Other people, though, are happy to pass judgment after they scrutinize, smell and sip glasses of tap water. NRWA sponsored the 16th annual Great American Water Taste Test Feb. 11. The town of Easthampton, Mass., claimed the gold medal.
