Nutrition group builds bridges between industry, health advocates

Given the battles between food companies and public health advocates on the nutritional value of what we eat, getting the two sides together isn’t easy, but that’s Larry Soler’s job.
oler is president and CEO of the Partnership for a Healthier America, a nonprofit seeking solutions to childhood obesity. PHA is bringing leaders from business, nonprofits and the media together Feb. 25-27 for its third annual summit in Washington, D.C., to discuss ways to promote healthy eating.
“This will be a meeting that is focused on solutions, that is about finding answers to problems instead of finger pointing,” Soler said.
