With months to go until the midterm elections, dozens of trade groups and professional society PACs have already raised more than $1 million in the two-year 2014 federal election cycle. Unlike Super PACs, these traditional political action committees can give money—raised from members and eligible member-company employees—directly to candidates’ campaigns, national party committees and other PACs.
