CEO has lead mobility professionals association for nearly a decade
Sept. 13, 2019
Peggy Smith will step down as CEO of the $13M-revenue Worldwide ERC by the end of the year after leading the Arlington, Va.-based association since 2010.
Worldwide ERC—formerly the Employee Relocation Council—represents workforce mobility professionals. Previously, Smith was director of global relocation at Microsoft, where she worked for more than 13 years.
In a statement, Sue Carey, chairman of the board of directors, said board members were grateful for Smith's leadership: "For a decade, Peggy has worked to envision, define and advance the global mobility industry."
Worldwide ERC did not give the reason for Smith’s departure but said she will work collaboratively with the organization to ensure a smooth transition. The group plans to name a new CEO sometime this fall.
