Large events will be slower to recover

The development of COVID-19 vaccines is building hope for a return to normalcy later this year, but the trade show and live events industry will likely be slow to recover.
Events professionals contacted by CEO Update say 2021 will probably be dominated by virtual meetings and smaller, regional events with hybrid elements. Large trade shows and conferences may not pick up again until late 2021 or early 2022, with events that draw international visitors possibly needing more time to recover.
