It was a novel business arrangement in 2018, and it has taken a singular turn.
The National Restaurant Association, which sold its huge trade show to media, events and industry data company Winsight Holdings three years ago, now has taken a majority interest in the company.
Cancellation of the show for two straight years has left Winsight struggling financially. As part of the original deal, NRA had received a nonvoting minority stake in Winsight.
