When George Lowe and Laura Wooster skate onto the ice Feb. 6, they’ll be combining business, fun and philanthropy. Both are on the team of lobbyists who will be competing against lawmakers and congressional staffers in the 11th annual Congressional Hockey Challenge.
Lowe, vice president of governmental affairs and public policy at the American Gas Association, has played in all but two of the charity games since the fundraising event began in 2009. He missed both games because of surgery.
“It’s a great networking opportunity,” he told CEO Update. “It goes back to my time on the Hill.”
