The Association for Advanced Life Underwriting and GAMA International will join forces next year to create a new organization representing the financial security profession, with the staffs of both associations moving into new headquarters once the merger is complete.
The new organization—which has yet to be named—will debut no later than June 2020. Current AALU CEO Marc Cadin will be the new group’s CEO while current GAMA CEO Bonnie Godsman will be its president, reporting to Cadin.
In an interview with CEO Update, Cadin said he was reluctant to use the word “merger” to describe the two groups coming together because the emphasis is on creating something new.
