Fornelli leaving Center for Audit Quality

The Center for Audit Quality has launched a search to find a successor to Executive Director Cindy Fornelli, who will retire in spring 2019.

CAQ is an autonomous public policy organization affiliated with the $247M-revenue American Institute of CPAs. Fornelli has led CAQ since its creation in 2007. She received pay of $1,764,633 in 2016, according to tax records. Fornelli previously was SVP and compliance executive for securities regulation and conflict management at Bank of America. She also was deputy director, investment management, for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

She has a law degree from The George Washington University. Recruitment firm Korn Ferry is assisting in the search for Fornelli’s successor.
