The American Council of Engineering Companies has appointed American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association CEO Linda Bauer Darr as the group’s next top executive, starting in August.
Darr will succeed CEO David Raymond, who is retiring after having led the $16 million-revenue ACEC for 19 years. Darr joined the $6.5 million-revenue ASLRRA in 2014 after having led the American Moving & Storage Association for seven years.
“Linda has made significant contributions during her tenure with ASLRRA, including standing up the Short Line Safety Institute, successfully advocating for the 45G tax credit, and adding a new level of professionalism to our publications and events,” Judy Petry, chair of the association’s board of directors, said in a statement.
