Building a team-based management style around outcomes

With an increasing number of businesses forgoing traditional systems of decision making, associations may want to take notice

Teamwork is hardly a new concept in organizational management, but many businesses are rethinking how those teams are structured and associations should follow suit, according to two management experts with the auditing and consulting firm Deloitte.

One of the largest shifts Deloitte has tracked in recent years is a move away from a hierarchal style of management to one that relies upon cross-functional teams to accomplish business goals and drive decision making. A major reason for the change is that team-based structures have shown to be a management model better suited for today’s fast-paced world, according to the firm.
