Two associations have launched an effort to collect workplace experiences from pharmacy professionals, with the groups hoping the data can be used to develop programming and set strategies.

The online Pharmacy Workplace and Well-being Reporting portal will allow pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists to anonymously report their positive and negative experiences in the workplace. The American Pharmacists Association and the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations teamed up to launch the portal. The data will be collected and analyzed by the Alliance for Patient Medication Safety, a federally listed Patient Safety Organization. The alliance has been authorized since 2008 to collect confidential reports from health care professionals with the aim of reducing errors and improving safety.
