The incoming CEO of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Chip Rogers, already is deeply connected with the issues and players in the industry. As CEO of the Atlanta-based Asian American Hotel Owners Association, Rogers often worked closely with AHLA and other trade groups.

Rogers joins the $33-million revenue AHLA in early 2019. He succeeds Katherine Lugar, who starts as CEO of the American Beverage Association this month.

Rogers has led AAHOA since 2014, when he initially was named the group’s interim CEO. He had been doing government affairs and public relations for the group since 2009, according to his LinkedIn profile.
