Starting April 1, the new association headquarters will be at 330 N. Wabash Ave., Chicago, the same address as SmithBucklin’s headquarters. AFCI was founded in 2004 as the Craft & Hobby Association. SmithBucklin will be responsible for  administration; member services, recruitment and retention; financial and event management—including the annual Creativation event—trade show and sponsorship sales management; marketing and branding; communications and publications; education; technology; and its charitable support of the Kids in Need Foundation.

“SmithBucklin brings deep experience in supporting business trade associations—including some that complement and have synergies within the creative industry,” AFCI Chairman Jim Thielen said in a statement.
