Stay consistent across the organization with titles that have clear and equivalent responsibilities and accountability for everyone at that level.
Use titles that are meaningful both within the industry and to other important audiences and job candidates. “Scan the marketplace for what other organizations are using for titles in the same area, and then think outside the box if it helps recruit the right talent,” said Jim Zaniello of Vetted Solutions.
Have clearly defined levels that offer a career path to move up within the group.
