Strong personal brand is key to gaining a competitive edge

Career experts say executives must effectively advertise their talents

Behind every successful product is a memorable brand. Turns out the same principle holds true for successful people, so the question facing any association executive seeking to advance his or her career is: “What makes me memorable?”

“Developing and cultivating a (personal) brand is really a career-long process,” said career coach Tom Stowell of Stowell & Associates. “It is important we take an active role in managing it.”
