Korbel brings small-group chops to CMA

New chair looks to focus on social justice

Kimberly Korbel knows you don’t need a huge budget to have an oversized impact. As the longtime executive director of the American Wire Producers Association, she’s learned how to fight for the group’s interests in Washington, D.C., with limited staff and funds. The group reported revenue of $727,000 in 2017. 

“The organization has really honed itself to be an advocacy group, even though it is not a huge, multimillion-dollar trade association,” she said.
