Even though she leads a 501(c)(3) organization and spends much of her time raising money to help find returning veterans jobs, Jennifer McNelly doesn’t call what she does charity.

“I don’t consider Get Skills to Work or any of our workforce development activities charitable activities,” the president of The Manufacturing Institute told CEO Update. “I consider them smart business decisions, because right now, we in manufacturing suffer from a tremendous skills gap.”
